"Do everything without complaining or arguing, so that you may be innocent and pure as God's perfect children, who live in a world of corrupt and sinful people. You must shine among them like stars lighting up the sky, as you offer them the message of life." - Philippians 2:14-16

Family ministry:
When the House of Light began twenty-eight years ago we were introduced to a family with many emotional and physical needs, including drug abuse. The wife, her eighteen year old son E., and two daughters would come to the Bible Studies. The kids would attend the youth meetings and events. Eventually, E. stopped attending the meetings, was married and had four children of his own. However, the troubles from his childhood still persisted in plaguing him and he continued to use drugs as an escape.
For many years we have been committed to assisting this family and providing emotional and spiritual support to E’s wife and children. HOL has helped sponsor one of E’s sons to study music. He was very committed to the King’s Kid program and also helped serve with the younger children. He is now studying to become a doctor in Italy. His sister was also involved in King’s Kids and is now working and studying nursing. Anis mentored the youngest son and gave guidance in making future decisions. The young man had saved money and was about to purchase a four wheeler, Anis suggested that he make a practical purchase instead and buy a horse. He is now breeding horses and learning how to run a business.
For many years now E’s wife has been a faithful part of our weekly meetings and even assists serving other families in need.
Initially E. was very angry and resentful for the assistance we gave to his family. However, through the years he has seen the spiritual fruit in the lives of his wife and children. He is now in a Rehabilitation program and meets with Anis for counsel and reconciliation with his family.
Please continue to pray for this family and that E. would fully gives his life to the Lord.

Prison ministry:
After a year of meeting with N. we received a phone call saying that he was going to divorce his wife and no longer wanted to meet with Anis. Anis persisted to come to the prison and meet with N. Finally N. admitted that he needed help to really change his life. Eventually, N. gave his life to Jesus. Three months later Anis began arranging for other believers to go to the prison to meet with N. privately for discipleship.
N. will soon be released from prison and he realizes that he needs more help and counseling before returning home to his family. N. has six children, ages 3 – 12 years old. Local believers and a congregation have also agreed to help N. and his family and to assist them with their emotional and spiritual needs.
N’s wife has been a believer for five years and we ask for your prayers to lift her, N. and their family up to the Father as they walk through this challenging time.

A. is a twenty-eight year old young man from Ukraine. He arrived as a new immigrant in Israel at sixteen years old. He has been in prison three times. Currently he has been waiting for a year and a half for sentencing for a very violent crime. For six months he was chained by his hands and feet because of his temper and the threat he presented to the other prisoners and guards.
Anis received a request from a prison guard who out of concern for this young man asked Anis to go and pray with him. A. agreed to meet with Anis on a regular monthly basis. Four months ago, A. gave his life to Jesus. The changes in his life were huge and very noticeable to those around him. He is now better able to control his temper, although there is much the Lord still needs to do in his life. Healing is continually progressing in his life.
A. has asked Anis and Nawal to visit his mother. They have had two meetings with her and were able to bring food and gifts that she was grateful to receive. She appears to be very open to the Lord.
A. was recently moved to another prison while he awaits his court sentencing. This prison does not allow him any visitors. We are praying that the court process is short so Anis can resume his visits to A.
Please keep A. and his family in your prayers. His future may look hopeless in the flesh, but in the Spirit we know the Lord has a plan for this young man.

Three years ago we met an Indian prisoner called Josi at Ohaleih Kedar prison in Ber Sheva, which is in Southern Israel.
This inmate received the Lord as his Savior in a very special way. Ever since he accepted Jesus, he has been fasting, having only one light meal in the evening. His weight is now 56kgs instead of the 80kgs he weighed when he was caught. Still, he has a very good health. He repented for his sins and the Lord accepted his repentance and gave him the gift of praying in tongues. From that time on, he is having special time daily with God and inviting more inmates to come and pray with him. Now there are around six men gathering regularly in that prison for prayer and worship.
In two months he will be sent back to India and he would love to be in contact with believers and serve the Lord. As a matter of fact, he wanted us to find a way to keep him in Israel to serve with us, but we couldn't. Now he is convinced that the Lord has a plan for him in India.

"For it is not ourselves that we preach; we preach Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus' sake. The God who said, 'Out of darkness the light shall shine!' is the same God who made HIS light shine in our hearts, to bring us the knowledge of God's glory shining in the face of Christ."
